A: WordPress is a fantastic CMS (Content Management System), that is open-source, free to use, well built and very secure. It is used by over 42.5% of all websites. Over time vulnerabilities are discovered in all software, and the massive usage of WordPress makes it an obvious target for hackers seeking to exploit newly discovered vulnerabilities.
A: We use ewww to optimise your site’s images, and deliver these across their content delivery network, we use WP Rocket for caching, and Asset CleanUp Pro for code and plugin optimisation. If purchased individually, the licence costs would be over $160 p/a.
A: Yes, you can cancel the WordPress Care Plan anytime. You are under no obligation to continue the ongoing service, we just ask you give us 30 days notice so we can carry out a last thorough update of the website, supply you with a full backup and remove our administrator credentials.
A: Any WordPress site can benefit from a Freestyle WordPress Care Plan. A new site must be up to date before a plan can commence though, so a separate, billable, project may be required prior to the plan starting.
A: WordPress Care Plans do not cover adding content to the site, updates to off-the-shelf themes, new development work, or work required to upgrade the site following underlying code base upgrades, e.g. PHP update or JavaScript framework updates as required by the WordPress core.
