The Technical Business Benchmark is a one-off diagnostic that tells you how your website performs, how it compares to your competitors, and whether AI systems can find, read and use it. It costs £750 + VAT, and we credit the full amount against any work you go on to commission.

It starts with a deep-dive conversation about your business — who you help, what you do, which tools you use — because a technical audit that doesn’t understand your commercial position isn’t worth much. Then we audit the site properly. Then we write it up in a way you could hand to any competent developer.

What does it cover?

Three areas, in one report.

Your business and your competition. Who you’re actually competing with online, how you stack up against them, and where the gaps are. This is the part most technical audits skip.

Your website’s technical health. Performance, accessibility, structure, SEO, security posture, and how it’s built. What’s broken, what’s fragile, and what’s costing you.

Whether AI can find, read and use you. What ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity currently say about your business and where they’re getting it from. Whether AI crawlers can reach your content or are being blocked — often accidentally. Whether your pricing, services and contact details are machine-readable or locked in images and PDFs. And whether an agent could actually complete an enquiry or booking on a customer’s behalf.

What does it cost?

The Benchmark is £750 + VAT, and the full amount is credited against any work you commission afterwards.

So if you go on to have us build or improve the site, the Benchmark has cost you nothing. If you don’t, you still own a complete picture of where you stand and a plan you can act on with anyone.

How long does it take?

You’ll have your report within 72 hours of our discovery meeting.

We’ll book that meeting at a time that suits you, usually within a few days. Everything after it is on us.

What do I actually get?

A written report, a ranked action list, and a conversation about it.

The report covers each area we reviewed. The action list is ordered by impact against effort, so you can see what’s worth doing first and what can wait. The roadmap is detailed enough that any competent developer could work from it — not just us.

It’s written to be read by a business owner, not only by a developer.
